How Much Are Eyelash Extensions in Sydney? 2026 Price Guide

In this blog, I break down the eyelash extensions price for each set type, explain what drives eyelash extensions cost, and add up what a full year really costs

How Much Are Eyelash Extensions in Sydney? 2026 Price Guide

Eyelash extensions in Sydney cost about $130 to $185 for a classic full set, $160 to $230 for hybrid and $170 to $290 for volume, as of October 2026.

Here's the dream: you find a lash tech you love, your set looks incredible, and you know exactly what you'll pay every few weeks. No surprise "that'll be a full set, actually" at the counter, and no nagging feeling that you're paying too much.

The trouble is that lash prices in Sydney are genuinely confusing. One salon lists a classic set at $130, the next at $185, and a deal site promises the lot for a fraction of that. So I did the homework. I checked the published price lists of Sydney lash salons in October 2026, including my own, and I'll be upfront about where my prices sit and why.

Below I break down the eyelash extensions price for each set type, explain what drives eyelash extensions cost, and add up what a full year really costs (infills included, because that's where the real money goes).

Key takeaways

  • As of October 2026, a classic full set of eyelash extensions in Sydney costs about $130 to $185.
  • Hybrid sets run about $160 to $230, and volume sets about $170 to $290.
  • Classic infills cost about $70 to $140 in Sydney, rising the longer you wait between appointments.
  • A year of classic extensions with 3-weekly infills costs about $1,845 at Jay Lash and Brow.

The Short Answer: Eyelash Extension Prices in Sydney (2026)

The short answer is that eyelash extensions in Sydney cost about $130 to $185 for a classic full set, $160 to $230 for hybrid and $170 to $290 for volume, as of October 2026.

| Set type | Typical Sydney range | Jay Lash and Brow, St Ives |

| :---- | :---- | :---- |

| Classic full set | $130 to $185 | $165 |

| Hybrid full set | $160 to $230 | $230 |

| Volume full set | $170 to $290 | $230 to $290 |

| Classic infill (2 to 4 weeks) | $70 to $140 | $85 to $140 |

| Lash lift and tint (for comparison) | $89 to $135 | $130 |

For a national view, Airtasker's Australian price guide (last updated February 2025) puts classic sets at roughly $100 to $185 and volume sets at about $190 to $350, with classic refills around $80 to $110. Sydney prices sit broadly within those national ranges.

How Much Are Lash Extensions? What Each Set Costs

The simple rule: lash extensions cost more the more lashes go on and the longer they take to apply. Here's what each style involves, what it costs across Sydney, and where my prices sit.

Classic sets

Classic lashes are one extension per natural lash, for a natural, defined look. Across Sydney, a classic full set costs about $130 to $185.

At my studio, a Classic half set is $125, a Classic full set is $165 and a Glam full set is $195. The half set is a lighter, cheaper option if you want a soft lift at the outer corners or a very natural finish.

Hybrid sets

Hybrid lashes mix classic extensions with fine handmade fans for texture and a little more fullness. Across Sydney, a hybrid full set costs about $160 to $230.

My Hybrid full set is $230, which puts it at the top of the range I found, and I'd much rather tell you that than have you discover it at the counter. A hybrid set takes longer than a classic because the fans are made by hand as I go, and I build every set to suit your natural lashes rather than a set template. If the budget matters more, a classic full set gives a beautiful result for $65 less.

Volume sets

Volume lashes are fans of several ultra-fine extensions on each natural lash, for density and drama. Across Sydney, a volume full set costs about $170 to $290.

I offer three levels: a Natural volume set at $230, a Glam volume set at $260 and a Full volume set at $290. The price climbs with density because each step up means more fans and more time in the chair.

How Much Are Lash Infills?

Lash infills in Sydney typically cost $70 to $140 for a classic set, and more for hybrid and volume, depending on how many weeks it has been since your last appointment.

Many salons, including mine, price infills by the gap. The longer you leave it, the more lashes have shed, and the more time it takes to bring the set back to full. On my classic full set, an infill is $85 at 2 weeks, $105 at 3 weeks, and $140 at 4 weeks. Every set's infill prices are in my full price list below.

Here's the sneaky trap: stretching your infills doesn't save as much as it seems. At my prices, a classic set with infills every 4 weeks costs the same over a year as one with infills every 3 weeks, and it looks sparse for the last week of every cycle.

The easiest way to keep infill costs down is to keep more lashes on between visits. My eyelash extension aftercare guide shows you how.

The Real Yearly Cost of Eyelash Extensions

In summary, a year of classic eyelash extensions with infills every three weeks costs about $1,845 at Jay Lash and Brow, or about $2,290 with two-weekly infills.

The price of a full set is only the start. Over a year, infills make up most of what you spend (which is exactly why nobody talks about it).

| Set | Full set | Infill every 3 weeks | Approx. cost per year |

| :---- | :---- | :---- | :---- |

| Classic full set | $165 | $105 | $1,845 |

| Hybrid full set | $230 | $140 | $2,470 |

| Full volume set | $290 | $160 | $2,850 |

Based on one full set plus 16 infills a year, at Jay Lash and Brow prices as of October 2026.

These figures leave out the occasional fresh full set, removal ($50), and aftercare products. For comparison, a lash lift and tint every 6 to 8 weeks costs about $780 to $1,170 a year. If you're weighing the two, read lash lift vs eyelash extensions.

What Drives the Price of Eyelash Extensions

Ever wondered why two salons charge wildly different amounts for a set with the same name? Whether you call it lash extensions or extended eyelashes, the cost comes down to six things:

  • Technician experience. Someone with years behind them works faster, isolates each lash more cleanly and gets better retention, and they price accordingly.
  • Set type and density. Classic is quickest. Hybrid and volume take longer because fans are made by hand.
  • Time in the chair. A full set can take a couple of hours. Rushing it is how prices come down, and also how retention suffers.
  • Adhesive and lash quality. Better adhesives and finer lashes cost more, and they're kinder to your natural lashes.
  • Location. CBD rents are higher than a suburban studio's, though that doesn't always show in the price.
  • The setting. A private one-on-one studio, a busy salon chain and a home studio all carry different costs and a different experience.

It's also worth asking what's included. Some prices cover a consultation, a patch test or the removal of an old set, and some don't.

Cheap vs Premium Eyelash Extensions: What You Trade Off

Cheap eyelash extensions in Sydney are easy to find (your Instagram feed has probably shown you a few). Deal sites regularly advertise big discounts on lash sets, and some salons price well under the ranges above.

A lower price isn't automatically poor work. But when a set is much cheaper, something usually gives:

  • Less time per set. Faster application often means extensions glued to more than one natural lash, which causes discomfort and early shedding.
  • Heavier lashes on weaker lashes. Fans or lengths too heavy for your natural lashes look great on day one and strain them after that.
  • Poorer retention. If the set sheds quickly, you're back for infills sooner, and the saving disappears.

Is it worth getting lash extensions? Yes, if you'll keep up infills every 2 to 3 weeks and follow the aftercare. If that sounds like a chore, a lash lift and tint costs less and lasts 6 to 8 weeks.

Wherever you go, ask to see the technician's own work, ask for a patch test if you have sensitive eyes, and ask how long their sets typically last before an infill.

Hidden Costs to Ask About Before You Book

The headline price is rarely the whole story, and nobody loves a surprise at the counter. Before you book anywhere, ask about:

  • Removal. Taking off an old set, especially another salon's, is often a separate charge. Mine is $50.
  • Late infills. Most salons have a cut-off after which an infill becomes a full set. Ask where that line sits.
  • Patch tests. Some salons charge for one, some include it, and some skip it.
  • Aftercare products. A lash-safe cleanser and spoolies are a small ongoing cost, but they're what keep your infills cheaper.

How to Keep Your Lash Costs Down (Without Cutting Corners)

Good news: you don't need the cheapest salon to spend less on lashes. These four habits make the biggest difference:

  1. Book infills at 2 to 3 weeks, not 4. A classic full set infill at my studio is $105 at 3 weeks and $140 at 4.
  2. Follow your aftercare. More lashes left at your infill means a quicker, cheaper appointment.
  3. Choose the right set for your lashes. On fine or short natural lashes, a classic or half set often looks better than volume, and costs less.
  4. Mix in a lash lift. A lash lift and tint costs roughly half as much as classic extensions over a year, so swapping some seasons of extensions for lifts brings your yearly spend down.
